Ingredients for Cooking Potato Moussaka
- Potato 7 pieces
- Chicken fillet 700 grams
- Pickled mushrooms 1 can
- Bulgarian pepper 1/2 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Onion 1 piece
- Paprika to taste
- 5 eggs
- Sour cream 100 grams
- Vegetable oil optional
- Parsley to taste

Baking dish, kitchen knife, pan, spatula, meat grinder or blender.
Step 1: boil the potatoes.
Potatoes need to be peeled and boiled in salted water. Then cool, cut into circles and half put on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.
Cook the potatoes in parallel with the preparation of the filling. So it will be more convenient and faster.
Step 2: prepare the filling.
Dice the onion into small cubes and fry it in vegetable oil until transparent. Then add to the onion chicken fillet, minced or minced in a blender.
When the meat changes color, add finely chopped pickled mushrooms, bell pepper and herbs to the pan. Salt, pepper. Stew until the chicken is cooked, and then remove everything from the heat and leave to cool at room temperature.
Beat eggs with sour cream separately and pour the resulting mixture into the cooled minced meat, then mix well.
Step 3: put the filling on the potatoes.
Put the chicken filling on top of the potatoes. Even out.
Place the remaining potatoes on the minced meat.
Cut the tomatoes into thin slices and lay them on top of the last layer of potatoes.
To taste, you can replace tomatoes with tomato paste or sauce.
Step 4: bake potato moussaka.
Bake potato moussaka in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes.
Do not rush to serve the finished casserole to the table, let it cool down a bit, it will be more convenient to cut potato moussaka into beautiful portions.
Step 5: serve the potato moussaka.
Serve potato musaka as the main course. You can add sauce or sour cream, or a salad of fresh vegetables to it. In any case, the dish turns out great, albeit simple.
